Dear colleagues!

The situation in Ukraine as a result of military actions has forced to search for new approaches to solving problems related to the restoration of the human body, to form a new ecosystem and to build new algorithms of action in the field of medicine, using international experience.

My team, with the support of partners in Ukraine, on the basis of a public organization initiates a unique innovative project - the creation of a multi-functional, research and production and treatment and rehabilitation Center for military personnel, veterans, combatants, disabled military personnel, volunteers, victims of war who have been captured, tortured, abused and other persons who have suffered psychological and physical trauma.

Currently in Ukraine there is no single comprehensive center that can provide a full list of rehabilitation services, they are provided on the basis of existing hospitals and military clinics, with outdated equipment, lack of qualified staff and the focus is mainly only on physical recovery, partly on psychological rehabilitation. However, the return of military and war victims to civilian life requires modern approaches to fully restore their functions and their ability to work and live fully in society.

WHAT WE HAVE:

detailed plan is the creation of a rehabilitation hub, with the use of innovative technologies, the presence of highly qualified staff, where each patient after a comprehensive examination receives an individual program, allowing for the shortest possible time to achieve high results.

location of the future project Irpin city, Bucha district of Kyiv region, a resort city, which has a wide network of health facilities, is located on the Irpin River, 8 km from the capital of Ukraine and is located at the intersection of international routes - Kiev-Warsaw, Kiev-Gomel, has excellent transportation, including railroad communication.

Landwith a total area of 1 hectare, in private ownership, with all necessary communications, including backup, according to the standards of the treatment facility.
A 3,000 sq. ft. Center buildingwhich our team started to create, was partially filled with qualified staff, but was damaged due to rocket attacks in 2022

Support for local authorities

Support for partners in Ukraine and cooperation with research institutes and organizations in the rehabilitation and recovery industry

In the further perspective
it is also planned to open similar Rehabilitation Centers in Odessa, Lviv, Chernivtsi regions, preliminary negotiations with local authorities have been held and necessary approvals and assurances of support have been received.

OBJECTIVES TO BE ACHIEVED IN THE COURSE OF PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION:

One of the main objectives of the center is to combine 3D printing technologies with interdisciplinary fields such as tissue engineering, digital medicine and materials science using different types of materials that are used in 3D bioprinting, including metal, ceramic materials, polymeric materials, composite materials and cellular tissues. This will create 3D printed products with good biocompatibility, excellent osteoinductive capacity and stable mechanical properties, which is of great importance for personalized treatment of bone defects.

Availability of the cell technologies laboratory will allow to create combinations of active substances, including cells and growth factors, which contribute to the reconstruction of bone tissue!

New metal alloys, ceramic materials or composites have recently become the starting point of innovation in the field of medicine, which makes it a priority to create and use our own materials in the production facilities of the center!

An integral part of the center is the rehabilitation itself, as well as an unconventional approach to it. The use of water-soluble fluerenes, as well as fixation and monitoring of nerve endings and muscle tissue, before and after rehabilitation, allows you to get the desired result!

Reconstructive surgery as well as robotic prosthetics are envisaged as a separate area of the Center. It is planned not only to install prostheses, but also to manufacture prostheses. First of all, permanent prosthetics require a conventional prosthesis beforehand, so that a person gets used to it, then, when it comes to bionic prosthetics, it also requires a certain rehabilitation period and maintenance of the prosthesis itself.

The scientific and educational component also plays an important role.

The Center should become a magnet for attracting the remaining percentage of the scientific fund of Ukrainian specialists who experience technical and financial hunger in the creation or use of innovative products, while having experience, practical knowledge, as well as ready cases for innovative projects!

The task of the center is to gather them into a single team to achieve multifunctional tasks!

In addition to physical rehabilitation, which includes surgical, post-operative and rehabilitation measures based on innovative technologies and psychological rehabilitation, which is primarily aimed at overcoming post-traumatic stress disorder, there will also be family rehabilitation, friendship rehabilitation, game interactive also educational and business rehabilitation.

Timeframe for implementation of project tasks from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the available building for the Center (reconstruction or construction of a new one), timely and full funding, as well as the situation in Ukraine.

FOR SUCCESSFUL REALIZATION OF THE PROJECT WE NEED:

- international cooperation, study and exchange of experience in the field of development and application of innovative technologies in the rehabilitation industry;

- financial assistance (grants, donations) in the realization of the project for the purchase of necessary equipment, construction, engineering works, equipment of premises, recruitment and training of personnel, and realization of other tasks.

- cooperation in attracting qualified medical personnel.

SOCIAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT

As a result of the project, thousands of people affected by the fighting will be able to receive quality assistance and adapt to peaceful life, which is an important component for the health and safety of Ukrainian society as a whole. This innovative project requires the combined efforts of various organizations of both national and international level, as it provides for the creation of a whole ecosystem of support and care for people affected by the war, which in the current realities is a large part of the Ukrainian population.

We invite you to become a partner in this important social mission.
